    Treatment of some thyroid disorders accompanied by hyperthyroidism.


    Carbimazole should not be used in the following cases:

    – Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone-dependent thyroid hormone (TSH or Thyreotimulin);

    – History of severe hematological disorders;

    – Hepatic failure;

    – Women who are breastfeeding;


    To avoid possible drug interactions between medicines, tell your doctor about any other medicines you are taking.

    Any sign of hyperthyroidism must be suspected first of all due to hypothyroidism caused by an overdose.

    Leukopenia with symptoms such as fever, sore throat, infection, seedless agranulocytosis, or non-bone marrow formation often occur abruptly. In this case, to stop taking the drug and to conduct blood count immediately.

    Allergic reactions: on the skin (itching, rash), fever, erythema, arthralgia, myalgia, muscle stiffness require discontinuation of treatment.

    Hepatitis bile rarely occurs, rarely happens loss of taste.


    Treatment with high doses for the first 1-2 months under strict control. Then gradually reduce to maintenance dose 3-4 months after. Treatment usually lasts for 12 to 18 months.

    The dosage and duration of treatment are reduced to suit each case, depending on clinical examination and biopsy results.


    An overdose can cause hypothyroidism, accompanied by an increase in TSH levels and an increase in goiter volume.

    At temperatures below 30oC, avoid sunlight and moisture.
